Charming village house in Burgundy vineyards

Nestling in the heart of the village of Cheilly-les-Maranges, the house is distinguished by its old-fashioned door with brass locks, rotary stamp, nameplate and handles, which is protected by a glazed canopy.

Inside, visitors are welcomed into a warm space comprising a brand-new, open-plan kitchen on the right, and a through lounge-dining room unit on the left: on the street side, a large window brings in light, and opposite a porch leads to a tastefully landscaped and decorated courtyard, whose high walls will preserve family privacy while remaining cool in summer.

A central corridor leads to a toilet, a bathroom with bath and washbasin and, at the far end, the boiler/laundry room, which can also be accessed via the courtyard.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms overlooking the street, and a spare bedroom with a sofa bed overlooking the inner courtyard. A shower room with washbasin and wc completes the first floor.

The house has been completely renovated: new roof frame and roof, insulation on the 2nd floor, double-glazed windows (two Velux windows on the street side and a dormer window at the rear), new staircase, repointing of all the walls at the rear of the house, reconstruction of the porch leading to the inner courtyard, new kitchen. Mains drainage, town gas central heating.

Exterior: the rendering on the walls is in excellent condition, as is the roof, waterproofing strips and zinc work.
