SPRING 2025 NEWSLETTER

"We see the light at the end of the tunnel!"

After a busy end-of-year period in 2024, sales continue into the new year. While the French housing market has faced challenges—with 20% fewer real estate agents and 33% fewer transactions—here at France4U, we have steadfastly maintained our course. In fact, we closed 2024 with higher revenue than in 2023.
SPRING 2025 NEWSLETTER FOR YOU
Our international focus and full-service approach are paying off. Since closing our office in Meursault, we have integrated smart systems that allow us to serve you even faster and better.

Meanwhile, we are closely monitoring developments in the international real estate sector. Our outlook for the coming months indicates a slight decline in prices as supply outpaces demand. Falling interest rates, driven by competition among banks and the reduction in European interest rates, are enabling more sellers to secure mortgages at acceptable levels. This is leading to an increase in traditional homes on the market. Simultaneously, new properties are becoming more affordable for buyers, and new projects are being initiated, further boosting supply.

As an internationally focused real estate agency, we also observe that geopolitical uncertainty and the decoupling of the Atlantic alliance are leading Europeans to stay within Europe for their second homes. At the same time, we are seeing fewer North American investors in France, and the presence of Asian buyers has significantly decreased since the COVID-19 pandemic. This shift in market dynamics presents opportunities for European buyers seeking homes in France.

And there's more exciting news: on July 12, we are hosting a special event at Château de Dracy les Couches! This is a unique opportunity for French and international homeowners to meet, enjoy an exquisite wine tasting, and live music from Marisa Yeaman and Bruno Martin. A day filled with conviviality and great conversations. Spaces are limited, so don't wait to register.

In this newsletter, we also introduce you to homeowners Nico and Frédérique, who realized their dream in Burgundy by restoring the Moulin Fouché. Their story is a mix of challenges, perseverance, and above all, a deep love for this beautiful region.

After meeting this lovely couple, we delve deeper into the Arnay-le-Duc region, home to the Moulin Fouché. Here, culinary delights and authentic Burgundian charm go hand in hand. What makes this region so special, and what experiences await you?

We also spoke with Robert, one of the founding agents at France4U. Since 2003, he has been enthusiastically assisting potential buyers in finding their dream homes in Burgundy. He knows the Arnay-le-Duc region like no other and helps buyers not only with their purchase but also in understanding the Burgundian way of life. He guided Nico and Frédérique through their search and buying process. With years of real estate experience and an extensive network in the region, he knows exactly how to match the right property with the right buyer.
And with Easter approaching, we are sharing a delightful family recipe for Pain d’Épices! This spiced bread from Burgundy has been passed down through generations within the France4U team and is perfect for a festive Easter meal or an elegant aperitif.

Finally, we have a premier for you. You will be the first to discover as not yet on our website. A mini camping, with owners 3 bderdoom main house, three chalets, and 5 camping pods. A great business opportunity.

When you are in France, we hope you will visit us. Enjoy reading, and hopefully, see you soon in Burgundy!
